This Advent Season we will be meeting together and sharing what Christ is doing among us.

Recently, we looked at the Songs of the Season.  One of the most cherished parts of this time of year is the music of the Advent Season. There were songs sung in scripture by those involved in the birth of Christ.

There was Mary's song in which she stated that her soul magnified the Lord and her spirit rejoiced in God her Savior.  She was humbled and very aware of the historical significance of being chosen as the mother of Christ.  Yet she took the responsibility to heart and was a willing vessel.  Are we a willing vessel for the Lord to use?  It may not seem that we are given as great a responsibility as Mary was given.  Yet, the Lord has chosen to put His own Spirit within us, if we belong to Him.  We carry that very Life within us just as Mary carried Jesus.  And we should look to the Lord with a magnified soul and a rejoicing spirit that He would consider us worthy of residence.

May you ponder the songs of this season found in scripture and allow the Lord to reveal to you how He wants to put a song in your heart and life.
